China Red
One colour that you see everywhere in China is red, bright bold RED. From ancient times to modern day, China red is still used everywhere.
They say it's the colour that corresponds with fire, symbolizing good fortune and joy.
Red is found everywhere Chinese decor, from doors, wall paint to furniture.
Red is strictly forbidden at funerals as it is a traditionally symbolic color of happiness; especially at weddings. The colour red in a wedding symbolizes having a thriving life. This is why chinese brides wear red on their wedding day, in hopes of having a good and thriving marriage. Often associated with festivals, paper lanterns are common in China, where they are often hung outside of businesses and in parks to attract attention. This Benjamin Moore classic red is inspired by the vibrant pigment that originated in China in the 8th century, this deep, dramatic orange-red is rich and regal. An elegant, self-assured choice for a dining room. We love the chinese lacquer look of this wall colour in a high gloss finish!
