why put wainscotting in a powder room?

This post is a tip for our customers, because we love you so much. If you can't afford to wallpaper your entire powder room, don't give up...there is hope. Installing wainscotting or even a chair rail, means you only need to install paper from half way up the wall to the ceiling.

We love how this wainscotting is built in with the vanity, simple and a continuous elegance.

This is more of a cape cod or cottage style, with diagonal beadboard on the bottom and grasscloth paper installed on the above portion of the wall.

A simple chair rail, painted in a crisp white along with the wall and trim below it.

This idea is fabulous, painting the wainscotting and ceiling the same colour...a great way to tie in the wallpaper pattern and colours.
